Our client who specialises in the hire of plant equipment, is looking for a service engineer to join their time in Essex.
The Role
*On/Off hire checking of equipment such as generator sets, fuel tanks and cables.
*Preparation of equipment for on hire including servicing, repair, cleaning and testing.
*On site servicing, repairs, installation
*Major repairs within workshop when required.
*Part of On call Rota
Experience Qualification
*Experienced engineer - mechanical and electrical knowledge
*Experience of generators or plant and diesel engines
*Flexible approach to work
*Willing to be part of on call rota
*FLT Permit
*Valid driving licence

Responsible for developing sales into specific market segments, primarily utility power generation, oil & gas and water & sewage within UK region North and onshore Scotland
Main tasks and responsibilities
1.Act as main contact for all sales related activities within specified market segments and geographic areas
2.Ensure that effective client contact, relationship building and management processes are in place (including acting on feedback from Customer Satisfaction Surveys) to positively influence the client and create a pre-disposition to view as the preferred source of supply
3.Coordinate and manage resources so as to achieve timely development, completion and presentation of Tender Documents
4.Management of sales process including negotiation through to completion and subsequent handover to allocated project team
5.Ensure that handover meetings and documentation are effective and result in a smooth transition from pre to post order status
6.Provide information for financial forecasting as required
7.Maintain knowledge of market and industry trends, competitors and leading customer strategies
8.Ensure application of sales and commercial policies, procedures, codes of conduct and best practice guidelines
9.Participate in and actively support company initiatives
10.Familiar with the environmental aspects and impacts of the activities and processes involved in the role and the procedures, practices and measures to manage the impact.
11.Familiar with the risks and hazards within the activities and processes of the role and procedures, practices and measures in place to mitigate the risks.
12.All other duties as relevant to the post
