The Job
My Rotherham based client is a leading supplier to the Oil and Gas Industry. Due to increasing business they have a requirement for a CN Programmer / Manufacturing Engineer to join their Production Team
The successful candidate will be responsible for :-
Planning and producing CNC programs for the machining of components on CNC turning & milling centres using Edge Cam and Vericut programming software.
Producing set up and tooling sheets .
Improving the quality of existing CNC programs and the information supplied to cnc operatives
Improvement of Manufacturing processes and Quality of existing processes where agreed with management.
Providing troubleshooting and technical support to shop floor.
Liaising with design and sales to provide cost estimates for new designs.
Proactively offering suggestions that will offer reduced time, cost or risk in the manufacturing process.
Working to priorities set by the scheduling department and prepare:
Part programs.
Data sheets.
Set-up sheets.
Producing detailed requirements for fixtures, tooling etc. for purchasing.
Providing manufacturing data to production.
Participating in production meetings and contribute to the throughput improvement plans.
Liaising with suppliers and customers.
Assisting the company in maintaining BS EN ISO 9001:2000 and API certification, by adhering to agreed processes and continually improving them.
Candidates must have previous experience in a similar role and have a sound background in a precision engineering/manufacturing environment
You will be apprentice trained or qualified in a related engineering disciplines and have excellent IT / communication skills
Salary Circa £27K-30K
