The Job
Concept Recruitment are currently recruiting for a HR and Compliance Manager to join their growing team. Due to continued growth of the business and investment in a new head office building we are looking to improve our head office support functions to both the business and clients with the recruitment of this crucial role.
Formed in 2006 Concept Recruitment have gone from strength to strength, with 5 branches and 4 onsite operations the business is forging forward, this is an exciting time to join our company and be part of the continued growth and success of the business.
You will report directly to the MD and will be responsible for the overall HR and Compliance Function for the organisation. Duties will include:-
- Employment law - working conditions, disciplinary and grievance procedures, equal opportunities, redundancies, paternity pay and maternity rights
- Training and development - putting together a staff training programme and identifying suitable courses for staff.
- Salary reviews - researching salaries and ensuring they are in line with legal requirements and industry standards
- Documentation - writing staff handbooks, contracts, staff memos, and issuing written offers of employment, promotion etc. Inductions for new starters
- Train and develop new and existing staff on Aspire to ensure fully up to speed with the workings and function of the database.
- Reviewing and updating Client and Contractor Terms of Business
- Reviewing Legal Compliance and conducting spot checks and Branch Audits throughout the business
- Review and conduct supplier compliance (Various divisions)
- Update time keeping and attendance records
- Responsible for company website and update of employment and Industry legislation changes
- You may also work closely with external sources lawyers and trade unions from time to time as and when required.
To be considered for the role you must have worked within a Senior HR role, ideally within a fast paced ever changing environment and be able to demonstrate the following skill sets

- Outstanding organisational skills
- The ability to work under pressure
- The ability to work with personnel from all levels
- Tact, and the ability to deal with difficult situations

- Knowledge of UK employment legislation.
- An interest in career development and training within the workplace.
